Our staff is committed to providing quality service and professional assistance to help families complete the necessary forms to obtain benefits that are provided through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs for deceased veterans.
What are VA burial benefits and memorial items?
We make sure every detail is considered so the veteran in your life receives a ceremony that truly honors their service and legacy. Lawnwood Memorial Park proudly offers:
- Complete applications for the veteran memorial marker.
- Providing a patriotic graveside setup.
- Providing spaces for veterans (and their spouses) in our dedicated veteran's section at a reduced cost

Who qualifies for a "Veteran' Memorial" or Reduced Price Veteran's Space?
To summarize, veterans must have been honorably discharged to qualify. A more detailed list of eligible service members for veterans' burial benefits, including the option for full military honors, includes:
- Military members on active duty or in the Selected Reserve
- Former military members who served on active duty and were discharged under honorable conditions
- Former military members who completed at least one enlistment or obligated service period in the Selected Reserve, with an honorable discharge
- Former military members discharged from the Selected Reserve due to a disability incurred or worsened in the line of duty
