You're Not Alone

You're Not Alone

Lawnwood Memorial Park's grief program is open to the community, no matter which funeral home you may have used. Our experienced Peer Grief Facilitators are fully trained and capable of walking with people making their way through their own grief journeys because they have been where you are now.Throughout the past two years of COVID and the unease that has accompanied it, our ability to provide in person grief support for those in need has been greatly reduced. Now that it seems COVID's impact on our society may be subsided to the point where life is virtually back to normal, we will begin our Family Grief Support program in January 2023. Stay tuned here for more information concerning group start dates. Our commitment is to continue helping each and every person in need of help.

In the meantime, we offer many resources which are listed here.

Quality Personal Grief Support

Quality Personal Grief Support

Grief can be a challenging journey for someone who has devoted most of their life to loving someone who may have just died. Our grief support program is based on years of experience working with families and individuals just like you who may have a tough time learning how to get through this time of their life. Sometimes a hug is better than canned online advice.

Our Family Grief Program is run by Angie Cooper. Angie is a certified Peer Grief Group Facilitator. She has worked closely with our programs creator, Dr. Adam Cooper, to provide a meaningful and insightful program for anyone in need of help. For more information concerning our Family Grief Support program, call our office and we will connect you with Angie.

Dr. Cooper has written and made available to everyone his short e-book titled "What is Grief?" which can be downloaded here: Download our Free Grief Resource

We also have numerous articles on grief and healing available here: Check out our Articles on Grief Here

Angie has been a Peer Grief Group Facilitator since 2008 after the sudden death of her mother from a brain aneurysm. She has worked with hundreds of people in grief and is uniquely suited to this work. Angie is certified as a Grief Support Group Facilitator, trained by Dr. Adam Cooper, Psy.
